Written prescriptions are available from this practice for medications which are classed as 'Prescription Only Medicines Veterinary (POM-V)' in order to purchase them from another veterinary surgery or pharmacy. Pets will require a Veterinary Surgeon's assessment and authorisation, and fees will be incurred for this service.

A prescription may not be appropriate for medication which is needed for urgent or immediate treatment.

The general policy of this practice is that reassessment of stable conditions is required every 3-6months, at the discretion of the Veterinary Surgeon. This is to fulfil strict professional regulations we are required to abide by, as well as to ensure best practice care for your pet. At a medication review we will reassess dosing, consider side effects, and offer any appropriate monitoring tests and advice on the best ongoing care for your pet. There will be a consultation fee for this medication review appointment.

We are happy to explain costs of medication and written prescriptions and give you accurate estimates if you contact us directly.
