Veterinary Surgeon - Ophthalmologist

Barbara received her master’s in veterinary medicine from the University of Ghent, Belgium in 2009. She completed her internship at the University of Vienna, Austria where her passion for ophthalmology began to develop. 

After having spent a few years in general practice in Germany, France and the UK, Barbara joined the Village Vet family in 2016. She further improved her knowledge in veterinary ophthalmology by successfully completing the Postgraduate Certificate in Small Animal Ophthalmology. Subsequently, Barbara acquired the RCVS advanced practitioner status.

Barbara was awarded RCVS Advanced Practitioner status in Veterinary Ophthalmology in 2021.
