Alison Loftus

Certified canine rehabilitation practitioner

Alison qualified as a veterinary nurse in Dublin. She has worked for Village Vet for over 20 years in various different roles before gaining her CCRP ( certified canine rehabilitation practitioner ) qualification through the University of Tennessee in 2008 and settling in her current position at Highgate.

Alison enjoys all aspects of rehabilitation and finds it very rewarding but has a soft spot for the geriatric patient and extending and improving their mobility and quality of life.

At home Alison and her husband have a wonderful 15yr old cat called Hobie and a two and a half-year-old crossbreed called Ridley that they rescued through the Mayhew home. Ridley in his first year decided that he needed more hands-on treatment from mum and a  fractured femur required intense rehabilitation in order to get him back to full speed.

Outside of work, Alison is a keen waterskier and also enjoys pilates, hiking and cycling though to a lesser extent since a fall 2 years ago where she broke both arms.
