The practice in Stone Lane Meldreth provides a friendly and caring service to the pets of the surrounding villages and towns. Vanessa Nicholls has been the vet based at Meldreth for many years and works with a dedicated team of nurses and receptionists in the well-equipped practice to provide all aspects of veterinary care your pet might need. Whilst the vets can advise on key areas of preventative health, medical and surgical requirements, the nurses are available for free consultations to discuss how best to take care of your pet.
Out of hours emergencies
For out of hours emergencies, please call: 0845 500 4 247. Village Vet Cambridge has a 24 Hour emergency hospital at Whittlesford and Milton.
All consultations require an appointment. Consultation hours are normally Monday to Friday: 9 am to 12 pm and 3 pm to 7 pm and Saturday: 9.00 am to 12.30 pm.
If you’re not sure you need an appointment, or just need some general advice, then we are always available to help with your enquiry. Just call the clinic and ask to speak with the practice nurse.
Ample client parking is available at the clinic.
It is always best to call first to arrange a repeat prescription to ensure the medicine is available to allow your vet to review it. Alternatively, repeat prescriptions can be automatically ordered online via our internet ‘Pet Portal’ shop. These can then be collected from the clinic or posted to your home.
Collection of food and general enquiries
You do not need an appointment to collect food or make general enquiries. These can be done at any time during our opening hours. See opening hours on the right.
