Dr Vanessa Nichols

Veterinary Surgeon

I graduated from Bristol University in 1993, and have worked in small animal veterinary practice in the UK for over 25 years. I particularly enjoy developing a caring relationship with pet owners and their animals. I am delighted now to be working full time at Village Vet Whittlesford. I grew up locally and the practice is where I first came as a school child for work experience. It’s where my passion for veterinary work started!  I feel very privileged to have come what feels like a full circle and join the fabulous team here, within a super, purpose-built new building.

My special interests are in medicine, diagnostic imaging and dentistry. After several years of hard work, I was delighted to be awarded the Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (Cert AVP) by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2016. Outside work I enjoy spending time with family and friends, running, hiking, cycling, attending to my allotment and singing in a local choir.
