Dr Sarah Cooper

Veterinary Surgeon

Sarah grew up surrounded by animals and knew she wanted to be a vet from a young age. She graduated in 2003 from the Royal Veterinary College in London and started work at a Small Animal Practice in West Suffolk. She developed a particular interest in Internal Medicine and studied for then gained her General Practitioner in Small Animal Medicine qualification in 2007. In 2009 she undertook a Small Animal Clinical Fellowship at the Animal Health Trust, a specialist Veterinary Centre near Newmarket.

However, she found that she missed the variety of general practice and later that year she start working for Village Vet, initially as a “float” vet and then as Head Veterinary Surgeon at our Royston branch. After the birth of her two children, she joined the Milton team where she finds she can enjoy the variety of general practice alongside the challenges of Emergency Medicine.

Along with two small children, she lives with her husband and a rather elderly cat in rural Suffolk. In rare moments of spare time, Sarah enjoys baking, reading and Yoga.
