Dr Allard de Kam

Veterinary Surgeon

Allard graduated from Utrecht University in The Netherlands in 2004.

He gained a wide range of invaluable work experience in several practices across The Netherlands for the first 4 years amongst which the emergency clinic for companion animals in Amsterdam. Having worked for a couple of years he realised he still had not found what he was looking for and decided in 2008 to undertake an internship in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care in Melbourne Australia. Coming back to Holland a lifelong dream of living and working in Amsterdam was finally realised when joining the Animal Hospital Amsterdam. In this position, he gained further experience with the use of abdominal ultrasound, endoscopy and laparoscopy. In September 2010 Allard started doing his own MRI’s and in 2014 took over the management of the hospital. Looking for a new challenge and finding love in London, fate brought him to Hampstead. Allard lives in Angel with his girlfriend who is a paediatrician from Wales. His dog Siep, a male Silken Windsprite (or longhaired Whippet) will hopefully join them soon. Being Dutch he likes to commute to work by bike every day.
