Specialisation

Did you know it takes a vet five years to study for their first degree?

But this is just the start of many years of extra study and in some cases specialisation – all vets need to demonstrate that they undertake a minimum of 35 hours of CPD (continuous professional development) each year and in some cases, much more.

In addition to this, vets can choose to go on to study for additional post-graduate qualifications, so that they can become experts in a particular field, and you can find more information about these special qualifications using the links below:

Certificates and Diplomas awarded by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons

We maintain the very highest standards at Village Vet, and over 50% of our vets in the London practices hold additional post-graduate qualifications, certificates and specialist diplomas which is truly exceptional of within veterinary practice groups.

This helps you to know that you are making the right choice for your pet with Village Vet.
