Dr Victoria Phillips
Victoria’s main interests are animals, travel and music. She has been fortunate enough to combine these three by working across Asia, South America, Africa and Australia with animals including elephants, monkeys and armadillos, usually collecting various unidentified musical instruments along the way. After graduating from the University of Liverpool with distinction in 2006, Victoria spent a few months volunteering with elephants in Asia. On her return, she worked at a small animal practice in Windsor for four years, then at a wildlife sanctuary in Ecuador before travelling around South America in 2011.
Victoria gained a wide range of valuable experience working as a locum vet in various practices across the UK for 18 months, including teaching first opinion practice at the London vet school before joining Village Vet in February 2013. In 2014 she completed a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice with modules in Small Animal Medicine and Critical Care, which has helped provide a higher level of care to Village Vet patients, particularly emergency cases during the night as Victoria covers 25% of the night shifts at Hampstead. Her spare time is spent walking her pointer x springer, playing the piano, swimming and attempting to run.
