Holly Broom

I have always loved and been interested in animals since a young age. On leaving school I studied animal care and welfare at Capel Manor College. I am currently a Patient Care Assistant at Village Vets which entails me helping the nurses care for the animals by feeding and watering them as well as cleaning the cages and kennels. I’m also responsible for walking any dogs in our care. I also give them some TLC when they need it. Other tasks that I undertake include supporting the nurses and vets in whatever work they need me to and I also work in the lab running blood.

I am hoping to begin my veterinary nursing training in January 2018. Following qualification, my ambition would be to work with disadvantaged and mistreated animals and to travel the world possibly working for animal charities.

I have two pets, a Yorkshire terrier named Coco and a cat called Indie. I also have a loan of a horse Poppy who I ride at every possible opportunity.
