Nurse Training Program
At Village Vet Nurse Students are given support from enthusiastic, experienced Assessors who recognise the day-to-day challenges faced during training. This support is reinforced by the rest of the team. Each student has an individual training plan developed to meet his or her needs. The student progress is carefully monitored and regular tutorials are carried out to help address training requirements. Combined with the advanced medical and surgical standards practiced at Village Vet, we believe we offer an exceptional Program to launch your Nursing Career.
Career Development
In the absence of ongoing career development, any job can become mundane and boring. At Village Vet, we offer a multitude of options to allow our nurses to develop and continually challenge themselves.
Critical Care: If you find day-to-day nursing unstimulating, you may enjoy learning from our specialist emergency vets and nurses at our Vet24 centres.
Physiotherapy: Our nurses take patient care rehabilitation as seriously as the surgery itself. Our hydrotherapy treadmill has become an invaluable tool for our nursing team.
Dentistry: We are keen for our nurses to develop their dental skills and undertake a range of dental procedures and clinics.
Nurse Clinics: We offer the opportunity and support for our nurses to run their own consultations including: health examinations, senior checks, puppy school and more!
Management and retail: We have a number of practices with dedicated 'pet shop' areas. If you are interested in managing such a retail environment Village Vet would be the perfect place to learn. Nurses with the right skills are also encouraged towards taking on managerial responsibilities including Head Nurse and Central Office Management positions.
