The Wood Green Shelter based in North London has recently had a complete refurbishment. This was the first time the Shelter had been redeveloped since 1974 and, in order to maintain its first class care and high standards in animal welfare, it was time to make some improvements. The new improved Shelter in London now has a cattery enabling the care and re-homing of cats. On Monday 18th February the very first new resident of the cattery arrived. 'Puss Puss', as she has been named by staff, was brought in by a local resident who had found her regularly wandering around her garden. She noticed that her stomach was gradually beginning to swell and decided to bring her into Wood Green Animal Shelters. On arrival it was found that 'Puss Puss' was in fact expecting kittens and at the time of writing this she was due anytime.
