The 'Bugs and Beetles' Fen Edge Family Festival was held on Cottenham Village Green on 22-24 June. Village Vet held a stall on the Saturday in aid of the Tamarin Appeal with a fantastic display of parasites, including jars of ticks and worms, a flea under the microscope and live maggots! Our raffle and 'Guess the weight' competitions proved very successful. 'Fred' the tortoise was a wonderful crowd puller as was 'Toby' the (shaved!) Tibetan Terrier, both belonging to our receptionist Sarah Ryan. By the end of the day, our goody bags were all gone and the Green was awash with pink dalmations! The vouchers given out for free stronghold and milbemax doses expire on the 31st August, so get into your local branch as soon as possible to redeem them. Special thanks to Pfizer for the stronghold vouchers, squidgy fleas and pillows. Novartis for the milbemax vouchers, and Hills Pet Nutrition for a bag of food as a prize.
