Small Animal Medicine

Medicine is the study of physiology occurring in the body in response to disease. It involves the art of compiling a detailed history of a pets clinical signs, performing a thorough clinical examination and formulating a list of differential diagnoses that could account for these findings.

A diagnostic plan utilising further tests or equipment to narrow down the list is then undertaken. At the Village Vet our combined team of vets have undertaken further qualifications in veterinary dermatology, radiology, cardiology, internal medicine, viral medicine, and ophthalmology. They are highly skilled in the use of expert on site equipment like ultrasound with doppler, radiology equipment, pathology laboratory, video endoscope equipment, E.C.G, and much more.
